Turmeric and Indigo Ayurvastra Muslin Fabric - 5 meters
The verdant green of this fabric is created with a blend of turmeric and indigo. Both turmeric and indigo are offer powerful support to nurturing a healthy immune system.
Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties and is commonly applied to wounds and burns to speed up healing.
Indigo has long been prized as powerful herb to reduce fevers, enhance immunity, and facilitate healing in convalescing patients. Traditionally, communities of indigo dyers save the cloth that is used to strain the indigo and give it to new mothers to swaddle their babies.
Together, indigo and turmeric create a bright green and offer a powerful combination as a healing ayurvastra muslin fabric that can be worn by anyone looking to improve their health and immunity. It is suitable to pacify Pitta, Vata and Kapha.
If worn as a garment or accessory for long periods in the sun, the turmeric dye will start to fade and the fabric will take on a cooler shade of green with hints of blue.

Our ayurvastra muslin fabrics are woven by hand on traditional looms in Rajasthani villages by weaving communities. All our fabrics are infused with a kashayam of pure Ayurvedic herbs. Kashayam baths are charged with the incantation of the Gayatri mantra to offer gratitude to the earth and blessings for the wearer.
These fabrics are extremely soft to the touch and very light, perfect for airy garments and home accessories like curtains and table linens.
Our fabrics are not dip-dyed. The threads for both the warp and the weft are dyed (except for our undyed natural muslin), and then woven into muslins that offer vibrant, even color across the fabric.
All fabrics are triple-washed to minimize fading and shrinkage.
This fabric is crafted by hand, therefore, there may be slight imperfections in the texture and color that are characteristic of the Ayurvastra process and contribute to the uniqueness of handmade fabrics. The colors shown may also differ slightly as a result of variations in screen resolutions and color configurations.
